Webster University is an American University with a global perspective. The university was founded in St. Louis, Missouri, USA in 1915 and celebrates its Centennial, 100 years on November 1, 2015. Webster’s global orientation dates back to the early 1900s. Today Webster is recognized as a truly global institution with campuses on four continents, in eight countries, and 60 cities, serving over 22,000 students worldwide. Our alumni network has more than 172.000 members all around the world.
The Vienna campus was opened 1981. Webster Vienna Private University offers Bachelor, Master and MBA Degrees in Business and Management, International Relations, Media Communications and Psychology. The focus is on excellence in teaching, the joining of theory and practice and educating students to be lifelong independent learners prepared to participate in an increasingly international society. Classes are small and interactive with a maximum of 25 students per class. Each student receives personal attention from the professors.
Webster Vienna Private University is located in the beautiful Palais Wenkheim, just a few steps away from the city center. Built in 1826, Palais Wenkheim features tremendous architectural detailing, both interior and exterior. The building was completely renovated and turned into modern and interactive learning facility in 2014 when Webster Vienna moved in.
Webster Vienna Private University is accredited both in the USA by the Higher Learning Commission, and in Austria by the Austrian Accreditation Council as an Austrian private university. Webster became the first institution to offer an accredited MBA program in Austria in 1985. In addition, all Business and Management programs are accredited by ACBSP (Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs).

To create a community atmosphere and assure a supportive and caring environment for new students, all students accepted to the Webster Vienna undergraduate program (freshmen or transfer students) spend their first academic semester living at the university sponsored dormitory, Webster Residence Am Augarten. The dormitory has a central location just a 10 minute walk away from campus. Residence Am Augarten, provides students with superior comfort, practical convenience, and an engaging social atmosphere.
