L’Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma - UNINT rappresenta oggi un punto di riferimento per quanti intendano confrontarsi con un metodo di studio improntato alla dimensione internazionale e all’innovazione digitale. I corsi di laurea triennale e magistrale delle Facoltà di Economia e di Interpretariato e Traduzione, nonché i corsi di alta formazione si contraddistinguono per l'elevato grado di specializzazione e per il carattere marcatamente interdisciplinare, elementi ormai cruciali ai fini di una piena realizzazione professionale.
La sinergica coesistenza delle tre realtà d’eccellenza dell’Ateneo – la Facoltà di Interpretariato e Traduzione, la Facoltà di Economia e la Scuola di Scienze della Politica – consente agli studenti di acquisire una formazione che dà accesso a brillanti carriere internazionali nel quadro delle relazioni internazionali, della diplomazia, dell’interpretariato e della traduzione, dell’economia e del management internazionale.
Per osservare questa realtà più da vicino, Carriereinternazionali.com ha incontrato il Preside della Facoltà di Economia della UNINT, prof. Antonio Magliulo, che ci racconta quali sono i punti di forza di questo Ateneo dalla spiccata vocazione internazionale.
Prof. Magliulo, può raccontarci qualcosa in più sulle lauree magistrali in economia offerte dalla UNINT?
L’economia è considerata la regina delle scienze sociali perché ha l’ambizione, talvolta la pretesa, di insegnare agli uomini a scegliere in modo razionale e cioè a perseguire gli scopi desiderati utilizzando al meglio le risorse disponibili.
Alla UNINT abbiamo compiuto una scelta che riteniamo possa consentire ai nostri studenti di tagliare con successo i traguardi desiderati. Anziché frammentare l’offerta formativa, abbiamo attivato un solo corso di laurea magistrale, in Economia e Management Internazionale, quello più diffuso e forse più apprezzato da imprese e istituzioni. Ma lo abbiamo articolato in curricula in modo da declinare e applicare il corpus di conoscenze economico-manageriali in quattro distinti ambiti disciplinari e settoriali: la consulenza aziendale, il marketing digitale, il Made in Italy e le relazioni internazionali, con insegnamenti comuni ai quattro indirizzi e insegnamenti caratterizzanti ciascun curriculum. Lo studente si laurea in Economia e Management Internazionale e, forte delle conoscenze e competenze acquisite, si prepara ad operare in uno degli ambiti prescelti.
Perché avete scelto di inserire un curriculum specifico in relazioni internazionali?
Perché anche nell’area delle relazioni internazionali sono necessarie, e lo saranno sempre di più in futuro, conoscenze e competenze economico-manageriali.
Riflettiamo un attimo. Viviamo in una “società senza stato”, una “global (and intercultural) society without a global government”. Chi governa il mondo? ci si chiede con sempre maggiore insistenza. E la risposta, pressoché unanime, è: nessuno in particolare, nel senso che manca, nel sistema internazionale, un’autorità suprema assimilabile ad uno Stato. Esiste invece un sistema di governo o global polity in evoluzione che comprende stati nazionali, organizzazioni intergovernative e non governative e persino grandi imprese transnazionali. Pensiamo a questi numeri. Nel 1945 esistevano 50 stati, oggi sono quasi 200. Nel 1951 operavano 123 organizzazioni intergovernative, oggi sono quasi 8.000. Sempre nel 1951 agivano 832 organizzazioni non governative, oggi sono quasi 57.000.
Di cosa si occupano gli attori della scena internazionale? Come usano il loro tempo e le loro energie? Lo sappiamo: svolgono una funzione essenziale nel “governo del mondo” promuovendo la cooperazione allo sviluppo, la difesa dell’ambiente, la protezione dei diritti umani, l’accoglienza dei migranti. E nella loro azione quotidiana devono gestire progetti, procacciarsi capitali, organizzare risorse umane, rendere conto agli stakeholders del proprio operato. Ovvero: devono essere dei manager delle relazioni internazionali.
Ecco perché abbiamo attivato un curriculum in Relazioni Internazionali. Perché crediamo nel connubio tra Economia e Politica (con le iniziali maiuscole). Il curriculum unisce due tradizionali aree del sapere umano: quella giuridica-politologica (con insegnamenti di Politica Internazionale e Diritto Internazionale e dell’Unione Europea) e quella economico-manageriale (con insegnamenti di Economia Internazionale, Management, Accountability e Negotiation). Entrambe collocate in una prospettiva storica, perché senza la storia non si capisce nulla del presente: non si può lavorare in una ONG o in un’agenzia ONU senza conoscere, sia pure a grandi linee, la storia di quell’organizzazione o la genesi del sistema internazionale (chiedere, per credere, ai responsabili dei colloqui di lavoro).
Dunque un curriculum innovativo nei contenuti che mira ad integrare aree tradizionalmente separate (nei corsi di Scienze Politiche manca l’area manageriale e in quelli di Economia manca[va] l’area politologica). Ma le innovazioni riguardano anche il metodo e non solo i contenuti.
Gli insegnamenti sono in italiano e in inglese e gli studenti che lo desiderano possono trascorrere soggiorni all’estero in una delle tante università con cui abbiamo sottoscritto accordi di cooperazione. Oltre al programma Erasmus, c’è la possibilità di conseguire un double degree con l’Università di Sofia e altri accordi internazionali sono in procinto di essere sottoscritti. Infine, il corpo docente è composto da accademici e professional per arricchire l’imprescindibile sapere teorico con la ricchezza unica che promana dall’esperienza pratica.
Posso prepararmi al concorso diplomatico con questa laurea magistrale?
Certo, la nostra laurea, la LM-77, è tra quelle che abilitano a partecipare al concorso diplomatico. Anzi, siamo pronti, nel caso in cui vi sia un sufficiente numero di studenti interessati, ad organizzare uno specifico Corso in preparazione del Concorso con una serie di attività didattiche che riprendono e rafforzano le conoscenze acquisite durante il biennio.
Perché un esperto in relazioni internazionali ha bisogno di competenze economiche?
Per le ragioni che indicavo prima. Un esperto in relazioni internazionali – sia che intraprenda la carriera diplomatica o che voglia operare all’interno di un’organizzazione internazionale – dovrà, nella sua vita professionale, gestire una molteplicità di risorse umane e finanziarie, negoziare con attori diversi, pubblici e privati, e rendere conto del proprio operato. Non vorrei esagerare, ma credo di poter dire che solo nel nostro curriculum magistrale si trovano, adeguatamente armonizzati, insegnamenti (in inglese e affidati ad esperti internazionali) come Management of International Organizations and NGOs, Accountability of International Organizations and NGOs, Negotiation and Project Management, International Organizations e insegnamenti come Politica Internazionale e Diritti Umani, Economia e Storia delle Relazioni Internazionali, Diritto Internazionale e dell’Unione Europea.
Il rapporto con le realtà economiche del territorio è sempre più importante per uno studente anche prima della laurea. Come facilita UNINT questo rapporto tra studenti, aziende e organismi internazionali?
La presenza di docenti-professionisti facilita il rapporto col mondo reale delle organizzazioni internazionali. Inoltre, abbiamo recentemente sottoscritto una convenzione esclusiva con l’Associazione Giovani nel Mondo che ci permette di sviluppare un dialogo quotidiano con gli attori della scena internazionale e quindi di offrire ai nostri studenti opportunità di stage e occasioni di lavoro.
Una delle novità della UNINT per l'a.a. 2017/2018 riguarda le soft skills, può dirci qualcosa di più in merito?
Oltre ad integrare l’area giuridico-politologica con quella economico-manageriale vorremmo coniugare le conoscenze e competenze di base (le cosiddette cognitive skills) con le non cognitive o soft skills che, come noto, mirano a sviluppare la personalità dello studente ed in particolare le capacità relazionali. A questo fine abbiamo predisposto un programma che prevede una serie di attività extracurricolari che vanno dal public speaking al team building.
Parallelamente stiamo progettando un “percorso di eccellenza”, certificato, che mira a fornire ulteriori conoscenze e competenze a coloro che intendono intraprendere una carriera nelle ONG con moduli didattici dedicati alla Global Advocacy, al Fundrasing ed altre rilevanti tematiche.
In conclusione vorrei dire che può iscriversi al nostro corso di laurea magistrale non soltanto chi è in possesso di un diploma di laurea triennale in Economia, Scienze Politiche o Giuridiche ma anche chi ha acquisito almeno 50 CFU nei settori scientifico disciplinari indicati nel Regolamento Didattico del corso di studio. Per esempio, molti degli attuali studenti provengono da Lingue e Mediazione Culturale.
L’importante è la motivazione e l’attitudine allo studio delle discipline previste. Il prossimo anno attiveremo anche un Precorso di Economia destinato a coloro che desiderano acquisire o rafforzare conoscenze di base. Ma forse ancora più importante è il fatto che i nostri docenti sono disposti a fare insieme e accanto agli studenti l’intero percorso di studi.

Job description: De Switch are waiting volunteers like you: you can take part to EVS. The volunteer will have a room that he/she can lock with a key. Bathroom and kitchen are in common with other volunteers. Terras and outside places are in common with another project. The volunteer is getting a food budget to arrange his food outside the work hours. During work the volunteer has lunch in the project. The volunteer will get a bike to go to the project, the shop, the bus or train station. A bus card is provided to travel with the bus to the city
