Organization: Nonviolent Peaceforce fosters dialogue among parties in conflict and provides a protective presence for threatened civilians.
With the headquarters in Ferney Voltaire (France) and an office in Minneapolis, NP field teams are presently deployed in the Philippines, in South Sudan, Myanmar and the Middle East. The field staff include veterans of conflict zones, experienced peacekeepers, and those new to the field with the right combination of experience, skills, aptitude and attitude. The aim is to protect civilians in violent conflicts through unarmed strategies and build peace side by side with local communities advocating for the wider adoption of these approaches to safeguard human lives and dignity.

Job description: Internships can be summer-long, semester-long, or customized to meet your needs. They are currently accepting applications for the role of Database Assistant. Assist Nonviolent Peaceforce in keeping meaningful and accurate data on donors, supporters and contacts in Raiser’s Edge, their relationship management database. The database assistant will also work on planning for methods, policy, and procedures for improved data integrity. This position works heavily with computers
Qualifications: The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications:
- Enjoy working with computers and have general proficiency;
- Experience and ability in internet searches;
- Very good reasoning skills;
- Attention to detail;
- Able to follow written and verbal directions well;
- Able to work autonomously;
- Confidentiality and discretion required;
- Able to focus while in close proximity to others;
- Commitment to the mission of Nonviolent Peaceforce;

Wage/fees: Generally NP interns are unpaid, but receive valuable work experience and credits towards their education, if applicable.
