Organization/Company: The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) strengthens transatlantic cooperation on regional, national, and global challenges and opportunities in the spirit of the Marshall Plan. GMF contributes research and analysis and convenes leaders on transatlantic issues relevant to policymakers. Job description: GMF’s Transatlantic Leadership Initiatives (TLI) department seeks an energetic and detail-oriented intern to work on the fellowship and alumni programs for emerging leaders  from  the  United  States  and  Europe  including  the  Marshall  Memorial Fellowship (MMF), and the Transatlantic Inclusion Leaders Network (TILN)

Key Areas of Responsibility:

- Assist in creating and developing the Inclusion Hub in Paris and across Europe

- Conduct research work on leadership inclusion

- Attend research conferences on leadership and transatlantic issues in Paris and write event reports

- Coordinate fellowship programs and alumni conferences and events organized in

- Paris and other GMF offices

- Assist in organizing seminars and conferences and prepare supporting material for presentations and meetings as required

- Contact and follow-up with invitees to conferences and seminars organized in Paris

- Assist with the communication and advertising of TLI's activities

- Maintain the TLI database and manage the departmental email account

- Provide administrative support to TLI Staff

- Business trip to Europe may be required

- Other duties as assigned



- Master degree (or equivalent)/Bachelor degree (Political Science, International Studies, Public Communication, Marketing, Journalism, Administration)

- Fluent in English (mother tongue/ Excellent writing skills in English required) - French and other languages considered as an advantage

- An ability to work in an intercultural team environment

- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

- Capacity in planning, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on own work

- Good interpersonal and excellent communication skills

- Creative, entrepreneurial, dynamic, well-organized, with an eye for detail, responsible and, ability to work well under pressure

- Have experience in project management, program planning and fellowship programming is an asset

- Possess a background/interest in foreign policy, diplomacy, transatlantic relations; marketing or fellowship programming is an asset

- Superior computer skills and ability to web-edit is an asset


Wage/Fees:  €550/month + restaurant tickets
