Organization: The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) strengthens transatlantic cooperation on regional, national, and global challenges and opportunities in the spirit of the Marshall Plan.
GMF contributes research and analysis and convenes leaders on transatlantic issues relevant to policymakers. GMF offers rising leaders opportunities to develop their skills and networks through transatlantic exchange, and supports civil society in the Balkans and Black Sea regions by fostering democratic initiatives, rule of law, and regional cooperation.
Founded in 1972 as a non-partisan, nonprofit organization through a gift from Germany as a permanent memorial to Marshall Plan assistance, GMF maintains a strong presence on both sides of the Atlantic. In addition to its headquarters in Washington, DC, GMF has offices in Berlin, Paris, Brussels, Belgrade, Ankara, Bucharest, and Warsaw. GMF also has smaller representations in Bratislava, Turin, and Stockholm.

Description: The German Marshall Fund of United States offers the opportunity for young students and graduates to be able to participate in their internships at various European and American locations, the positions available at GMF are as follows:
-Security and Defense Policy:The internship will take place in Warsaw and will last from three to six months
-Asia Program: The internship will take place in the Washington D.C.
-Berlin Programming:The internship will be at the headquarters of Berlin and will last for three months
-Erasmus Funded Brussels Trainee:The internship will last for six months and will take place at the Brussels office
-Communications: The internship will take place at the headquarters in Washington D.C.
-Congressional Affairs: The internship will take place at the headquarters in Washington D.C. And may last from three to six months
-Executive Office: The internship will take place at the GMF headquarters in Washington D.C. And will last about four months
-Security and Defense Policy:The internship will take place in the Washington D.C. And will last from three to six months
-Brussels Forum - Strategic Convening:The internship will take place at the headquarters in Washington D.C. And will last for four months with the possibility of renewal

-Student Assistant (part time), Strategic Partnerships:The internship will take place in Berlin and will last for twelve months
