ACTED is recruiting technical profiles, project managers, programme experts as well as for support functions. We are also looking for experienced managers for senior positions including area coordination, consortium coordination and country management.

For the personnel new to the humanitarian aid sector fresh out of school, ACTED offers first humanitarian missions on voluntary expatriate contracts, particularly on support functions. After 6 months under contract, if the experience has gone well, volunteers can be offered a salaried position, depending on available opportunities. Staff are supported throughout their time with ACTED with experience sharing and in acquiring new skills in team management, thus allowing them to assume positions of extended responsibility throughout their career.

Qualifications: The candidate for EU Aid Volunteers must be a citizen of the EU or a third country national who is a long-term resident in an EU Member State, and must have a minimum age of 18 years.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in humanitarian studies / Political Science / M&E / Project Development / Finance / Logistics;

Organization: On 15 June 1985, at Louvain-la-Neuve, 47 Regions and 9 interregional organisations founded the Council of the Regions of Europe (CRE), which would later become the Assembly of European Regions in November 1987 at the second General meeting of the Regions of Europe in Brussels. English and French are the working languages of the BIE. An excellent command of both languages is required. Knowledge of other languages would be an asset.
