ECML promotes quality language education in Europe. According to its vision, Europe should be committed to linguistic and cultural diversity, where the key role of quality language education in achieving intercultural dialogue, democratic citizenship and social cohesion is recognized and supported. The ECML's Strategic Objectives are to help its member states implement effective language teaching policies by: focusing on the practice of the learning and teaching of languages, promoting dialogue and exchange among those active in the field, training multipliers and supporting programme-related networks and research projects

Open to: Students with bachelor’s degree (at least)
Timeframe: Two semesters: July-December and January-June

Job description: According to their field of interest applicants can choose the main area in which they would like to be involved: organization of events and meetings (Programme), documentation and resources (DRC), the Centre's website (Website) and finances and general administration (Administration).
Recruiting young professionals from all over Europe to join its team for a short period both reinforces the Centre’s role as a place of international cooperation and promotes an atmosphere of intercultural learning. For the trainees it often represents their first experience of an international organization. The scheme which the ECML now offers is the result of a learning process and is adapted to meet the needs both of the Centre and the trainees themselves
Qualifications:
Your application will only be considered if you come from or live in one of the member states of the Council of Europe. Generally speaking, you should have:
- a very good knowledge of English and/or French
- good communication and organization skills
- flexibility and motivation
- ability to work efficiently both in team and independently

Wage/fees: The trainees receive a subsistence allowance of about € 720 per month
