Hello everyone!

I introduce myself as Federica, 24 years old.
What am I currently keeping busy with? Well, I’d just like to say: I am making choices. Choices useful for my education in a long term. (Finger crossed!)
Two years ago I got a Bachelor Degree at “L’Orientale” in Naples. From that moment on, I’ve been experiencing different ways of learning life and myself as well.
One of those, brougth me to China first and to different working environments then. I said “different”, each of those ways, indeed, has a main common point: “the internationalism”.
I often say I am a girl with an international mind and a neapolitan heart. That’s because I am aware that there are many things beyond my limits and just those “many things”, I’d love to explore completely; even keeping my neapolitan heart, my national one.

The main purpose of this “explorative travel”, to me, is to bring those “many things” to Italy, so as to spread that “inner internationalism”to the national boundaries.
I’d say : going beyond the boundaries but staying in the national boundaries, not making a specific categorization for that.
This is the main reason why I came to International Careers as trainee : my desire of integration and openness to anything different from me.
Did I find what I was looking for? Totally! Open-minded is the key word: if something is just possible, there is a slight chance that it will happen.
Well, through International Careers I get to know incredible possibilities I didn’t even imagine before. Those possibilities let me open my mind and taking a step forward towards more and more desirable goals.
I am well motivated in this training path and I really hope my commitment and my sense of self-motivation could come across to all of you.

My dear international friends, to conclude , my message to take away is the following:
Never stop looking for possibilities and opportunities, as the one I found with International Careers.
Let those opportunities increase your professional and growth path.

Thank you for reading.

Ciao internazionali!

Grazie.

My name is Federico, I'm 24 years old, and I'm enrolled in the MAs course in International Relations at the University of "Roma Tre".

I've met "Giovani nel Mondo" association during the last International Careers Fair. I've always heard people talking about this event, and due to a suggestion that came from some university colleagues of mine, I decided to spend there one of the many days in which the Fair is held. International guests, from the academic and institutional world, have persuaded me even more about my workplace choices. But it wasn't just the event in itself that moved me to be part of this association. I was there just a visitor, nonetheless I was able to perceive the passion of the people who collaborate with the President Daniela Conte: an experience carried out for many years with the aim to indicate for the university student the academic and working opportunities that IRs can offer them.

It always happen that students like me, who choose to attend this MAs, risk to get themselves confused about their employment, due to the huge variety of jobs offered to them: the challenge is to choose the right one. The type of activity carried out by Giovani nel Mondo, and in particular via the carriereinternazionali.com website, aims precisely to help students to create their own way.

Once I had seen how the whole association staff had managed to organize, like every year, the International Careers Fair, I immediately wished to know them better, in order to get in touch with "Giovani nel Mondo". After having met closely Daniela Conte, I had the opportunity to be an active part of the entire organizational machine, which carefully prepares the next Fair from the day after the end of the event itself. A friend of mine played a fundamental role in order to make me be part of the association; a girl who, after having collaborated in first person with Giovani nel Mondo, wove a completely justified praise of the association, as I was able to be aware during these last weeks of intense work.

Thanks to the experience I could live, I was able to get inside the inner gears of the association, and I've learned how to work in a group of highly motivated students, carrying out numerous assignments: writing articles, creating digital content for the web, data analysis, with the aim to be uploaded on the carriereinternazionali.com website, wherefore help other students to see the fitter opportunities.

An experience of incalculable value, which allowed me to come closely in contact with the world of labour, in a dynamic and proactive environment, led by President Daniela Conte and the whole group of Giovani nel Mondo. I suggest anyone who wants to take the first steps in IRs to join Giovani nel Mondo, in orde to meet guys from all over the world, ready to share their values and knowledge.

My name is Sara Crepaldi, I am 26 years old and I am currently living in Rome where I have just obtained my Master’s Degree in Translation and Interpreting.

I am originally from Veneto region and the most asked question since I have been living in Rome has been the following: “Why Rome? It is more common for people from the south to move to the north, and not the opposite!” The answer is that I have always been used to make my own decisions without following what most people do. I think that having a free and open mind is essential for those like me have chosen the path of foreign language studies, which implies inevitably coming into contact with cultural diversity.

The idea of being part of the carriereinternazionali.com editorial staff came from the fact that I often use the website in order to find job/educational experiences abroad. Therefore, I thought it would be interesting to work from a more internal prospective and help students and young graduate like me in their (desperate) search for opportunities. From the very first day, I have met people with whom I share some important values such as democracy, dialogue and positive confrontation even when opinions are different.

It has been a very positive experience so far!

My name is Riccardo Testa and I was born 21 years ago in Rome.

I’m currently studying Law at LUMSA in Rome. I have always been fascinated by the world of international relations. I grew up with the dream of becoming a member of the Italian diplomatic world. Everyday I strive to improve myself and collect new experiences to let this happen. Since the beginning of my academic career I have followed a set of studies oriented towards international law. In fact, at the time of university enrollment, I was selected to take part in the International Study Path of my faculty. In short, this means that part of the classes I attend are taught in English as well as the final exams.

I was born in a family always involved in politics. Following the footsteps of my ancestors, I became personally involved in this field, which is often addressed as being very distant from the people. In addition to having taken part in the last LUMSA departmental elections as promoter and candidate of one of the students lists, I have participated in a simulation of the Italian Parliament to focus on policy development. This experience confirmed to me that I am right in being confident in the generation of young talents I have met and that one day they will be the future ruling class of our country. With some of them a strong friendship was established. It led us to collaborate together in a project called "Europa per l’Italia". Thanks to this initiative I had the opportunity to embrace the role of speaker in some Italian institutes (including my university) to give young EU citizens a basic idea of what the European Union is looking to its political, economic, historical and juridical facets. All this commitment has proved to be an excellent resource for many interested voters for the new legislature of the European Parliament. My passions also include Criminology studies. In this regard, I recently obtained the professional qualification of Expert in Forensic Sciences, Investigative Criminology and Criminal Profiling at the end of an annual Master course.

When I got halfway through my studies, I started looking around to make my studies more practical. I began to look for internship offers at the most renowned international organizations and, almost by chance, I found the "Giovani nel Mondo" Association on the internet. My desire was to find myself inserted in a dynamic group context to enrich my knowledge and I could not ask for better when I was welcomed by the editorial staff of carriereinternazionali.com. From being part of those youngsters who wander the internet platforms of NGOs in search of opportunities to be seized, I went to the side of those who put their resources at their disposal to support them in their research. Although I am only at the beginning of my career, thinking that I serve others and help them, even if in small part, makes me proud of having taken part in this initiative.

Mi chiamo Riccardo Testa, nato 21 anni fa a Roma.

Hi everyone! My name is Valentina Murace, I am 25 and I would like to tell you something
about myself and the most relevant intercultural experiences I have lived so far.
Since I was in high school, intercultural communication has been one of the main topics I
really felt in my bones. I was fascinated by the role of the interpreter, a person who is able to
help people communicate in a way that it could not be otherwise. As a result, I decided to
continue my studies focusing on languages and intercultural mediation, German and English
in particular, given that my dream was to become an ambassador. During these years, I also
had the chance to live an incredible international experience in Saint Petersburg, Russia, with
a Summer school scholarship granted by the Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic
University. It goes without saying that I had the time of my life since such an experience
forces you to think outside the box and overcome your limits as well, both in terms of being
able to go beyond your own culture and to understand that living with people from all over
the world will enrich your view of the world and yourself as human being. After graduating
in German literature, I attended a course in Interpreting and Translation in order to have an
in-depth view of this fascinating and demanding environment, although I realized that I
wanted to steer my academic background a little bit towards a greater understanding of
NGOs, International Organizations and Development Cooperation, given my previous 5-year
experience as part of the Italian Civil Protection.
I must say that I have been very lucky to come across the work of the Giovani nel Mondo
Association since I had the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in this sector. In fact, I
took part in the Press Game and the International Careers Course two years in a row, given
the international nature of these amazing initiatives, which I highly recommend to anyone. It
has been a very relevant experience for my academic career since I eventually decided to
enrol in the Master’s degree course in Economics and International Management at UNINT
in Rome, which I am currently attending.
Thanks to this course and the many professionals coming from the main international
organizations such as NATO, the WB and the IMF, I have the possibility to gain practical
experience with respect to project management, disaster response and recovery as well as
other activities and tasks performed by NGOs, CSOs and private sector actors.
As part of the editorial staff of carriereinternazionali.com, I am honoured to help young
students or recent graduates to find out job and internship opportunities which will help them
boost their CV and build their international careers. Indeed, I was very happy to find out that
I could be part of such an admirable initiative, from which I have benefited for a long time in
the first place. Therefore, I will give my contribution to improving this service for you to the
extent possible.
