My name is Lorenza and I’m 23 years old. I’m from Rome but I studied Political Science and International Relationship in Milan, at Catholic University of Sacred Heart. Lot of people ask me why I chose to go to Milan even if I lived in Rome. My answer to this question is: go away from my city, my home was the best way to me to became an adult and grew up, find in this way my independency. After I graduated I returned in Rome to find a relevant job experience related to my University course and improve my CV and my skills in the world of work. International Careers was the first website I found and it gave me a lot of possibilities like stages, jobs, volunteering and so on, all in fields of my interest. One day  by clicking on "stage" on the page of the site, the first offer concerned an internship at the editorial office of the International Careers. The offer was open to young people who are interested in the world of non-profit and communication and for me was perfect. I did the interview and few weeks later I had entered in the International Careers team. I think this is a great experience for me, where  I really have the possibility to learn how this world, that interests me so much, is working and understanding what it takes to become part of it. My interest at the moment is to do some experience while I’m working as waiters in a restaurant to put some money apart and while  I’m studying English with the purpose to go abroad for a Master that will allow me, in future, to enter in a NGO or in an International Organization so that I can play my part in this world.

My name is Beatrice and I am 24 years old. I come from Rome but I have been living in a town of the “Castelli Romani”, Velletri, for several years. I have studied modern languages at the University “La Sapienza” in Rome and I graduated one year ago in Russian literature. Actually I am attending the Master degree course in Economy and  international Management  at the Unint University. It is thanks to my university, participating in the wonderful experience of  Rome model United Nations, that I had the opportunity to know the Giovani nel mondo Association that immediately attracted my attention  because of the great work done in different areas.Participating in the simulation organized by Giovani nel mondo was certainly an experience that has enriched me on a cultural and human level and that I highly recommend everyone to try.Precisely because of the trust and admiration towards the Association, I decided to carry out an internship with  Giovani nel mondo. The internship is really interesting, formative and, although I have just started, I can say that I am very satisfied with my choice.

In particular, in the role of editor, I deal with writing forms relating to job offers and opportunities of various kinds, the management of contacts with institutions and the planning of the facebook page managed by the association. What I have known is a truly exciting and energetic world, born with the fundamental purpose of making the possibilities for us young people in a broader environment easier and more accessible and I am very happy to contribute.

Very important is also the positive atmosphere that we breathe in the editorial office, where I got to know my colleagues with whom I share the interest in the work done and the willingness to guarantee our help in achieving the goals of international Careers.
